In a week or two we will compile the list of who all is *IN* and I will then propose the manufacturing schedule and take material only deposits. I will probably produce 3-4 more than what is pre-ordered to keep around for late arrivals.

Well actually, maybe I should consider just making it part of the standard process. I dont know. Generally I would prefer they not be there if I dont need them... but I am thinking that since there are moving parts in there, perhaps some big ole -10 ports would be nice to have as little windows to look in and check on things every few oil changes? I cant imagine what to see, but I would look anyway LOL

This is art, but has anyone built a baffle for the stock pan. I may be able to afford that. I use to have access to NC mills. I miss them.

So how much are you talking when referencing material costs? I could probably do this right now then. Pay for the material right now and upon completion pay for the remainder? I would need a hard "deposit/material" price to run by the boss lady.

I think I am in. How did you deal with the sealing surface at the pan lip? Did you notch out a groove for the silicon sealant for a better seal? This is something Nissan has always done on timing covers and 2-piece oil pans.

I would probably just round it out to $100 even. Like when I did this with the road race pumps, I would set a sizable amount of time to pay off the part after production so people can fit it into the budget without forcing it through. I would probably hold the pan up to 12 weeks after production with the deposit.

Another thing I plan to add to the production pan is a recess in the flange for pounding in a pry tool for removal without banging up visible surfaces. I also thought about possible a threaded hole or two to threads bolts into that push on the upper pan to ease later separation. |

Also thanks to FL 4motion for reminding me to make this last week. I had the material sitting around forever. |

Yes, I would like that. I also like the idea of at least 2 pry points to get the pan off if needed without damaging it. |
