You are worried, I have just ordered a 92mm billet crank as well as this lot !!!

The sequential box at Xmas has dented the cookie jar more severely and lead to some searching questions from SWMBO

When would the upgraded damper really come into effect? anything over 8,000 rpms? I'm hoping with cjm manifold when it comes out, fi long tubes, fi exhaust, and stillen g3 i can make some power.

Our harmonics band on the factory internals is 7300-8100 rpm this is when you need a balancer. If you go billet crank or lighter on the internals it moves up to around 9krpm

I originally bought a Quaife 69G and then got a serious offer to take it off my hands (it went to New Zealand for a GT-car) and eventually finished up with a Holinger RD6 (new manufacture, straight cut gears throughout) - I have run it in my race car once so far (in Feb, and then had an engine oil pressure problem so I have an engine rebuild underway to fix that).

The Z34 engine-build is proceeding in parallel which is not ideal .... and causing the domestic noise-generator to go into overdrive, but that is nothing new where my toys are concerned.

I am a convert for sequential boxes and flat-shifting ..... the race car is back in two weeks and I have entered Round 3 of our state sports car championships for July, so I will grab some video out of that weekend to demo the flat-shift technology.

Holinger RD6 is not cheap (A$22K) but they are a truly excellent box .. my H-pattern I had in the race-car for 6 seasons and apart from oil changes and servicing the filter, it did not cost me a penny for over 10000 race kms. When I took it out and originally on-traded it to fund the Quaife, I stripped it to crack-test the gears (got a much better price doing this) and found no issues at all - replaced all bearings, seals and gaskets and zipped it up. That box is now behind a 6.2 litre Chev engine.

On margin, even though the Holinger is more expensive, I reckon it is worth it. That said, the guys in NZ reckon the Quaife is also perfectly serviceable. I went with the Holinger in the end because they are made in Melbourne and the factory is 15 minutes from my place, so I'm keeping my motorsport spending local. Service on the Quaife requires that it be returned to the Asia/Pacific agents in NZ.

Wow this is nice, I'm putting in the Nismo pump next month and was going to do all these when I have the engine apart. Now that you have it I don't need to ask my R&D team to do this anymore, saves a lot of time.

I take it this will be a limited time offer? I still haven't purchased the fuel system items that I plan to get from Charles yet. I doubt I will be back in the States before August/September and I still need to source another NISMO..................FML!
