This second flex plate didnt survived 5000kms as I pulled the 7AT to swap in a 6MT.

In my opinion the first mod on the 7AT should be the flexplate ! then an oil cooler if doing agressive track days.

the picture from 2011 on the dyno fully tuned but with a cracked flywheel. we had no control and spend nearly a complete year to figure out what was going on ,, almost traded the Z for an EVO X.

Good Imfo: i was wondering what the symptoms would be,,,been so long since i had to replace a flexplate.
Deffinitely no loss of power or ck. engine lights.

in for GB.... with some upgrades this tranny will be an absolute beast

flex plate and cooling helps but this tranny still isn't too strong. quick and hard shifting hell yea but it's strength is it's weakness if you want to go big power.

I want to look into how andy found a torque converter upgrade. haven't seen many if any online.

I think the most ill squeeze out of this car is around 350rwhp(optimistically) ....i wont be doing any power adders eithers... your right though, its not the strongest...with some upgrades though I see this bieng a good thing

if you're stayin NA then a flex plate and cooling should solve any future issues.

I had my converter done by PRO TORQUE .
stall raised to 2900 to 3200 rpm.
and he reworked the entire converter.
a total different beast.

what was parts and labor on that?

I think it was between 550 to 600 dollars
made a big difference.

I ordered the torque converter and valve body upgrade from Level Ten.

what are the symptom's of a cracked flexplate on these cars....i've replace them years ago on old chevy's & ford's...but didn't know what to listen or feel for on the A/T Z ?

Think the first thing you would notice is a cut in power. As it plays helll with the knock sensor. The timing would be cut back because the sensor is picking a knock.

The second thing would be hearing a new noise from under the car, or hearing it up through the floor board.

The third thing would be a car that doesn't go anywhere. That would be after the BIG BANG.

very nice. for me I don't think i'll go big unless I break something........or if I go TT eventually just get level10's 1000hp rated tranny lol

Level 10 has 2 upgrades.
Build 1 is good for 700H & 750T
Build 2 is good for 1,000H & 1,200T
Valve body & converter upgrade (parts) are good for 700H,the rest of the trans.?
