Best Bolt on Setup?

What are your best dyno numbers with full bolt ons and tune?
Please provide setup. Thanks

That's probably the worst bolt-ones setup lol..

T.lynch 03-28-2015 07:45 AM

For all those wondering, I looked it up and thats equivalent to 289 hp. Lol

To each there own. Guys probably not chasing horsepower as much as looking for sound and a solid tune. Not everyone is a dyno queen :tiphat:

ANMVQ 03-28-2015 08:42 AM

My buddy just dyno tuned his 370Z, Stillen headers, Cats, Gen2's and catback, all Stillen and made 314 WHP and 261 WHTRQ, 6 spd manual.

I'm getting mine done ( X G37 Sedan) with
Z1 HFC's, ARK Grip catback, Takeda cold air, M370 mani( and with ported Stock mani) seymore4 tune on 4/3. I will post mine here also.

conor1123 03-28-2015 10:05 AM

Usually the highest N/A power setup is something like:

Any popular exhaust (F.I., Motordyne, etc)
Test pipes or hi-flow cats
Stillen G3 intake or equivalent
Z1 shorty headers / F.I. long tubes
Uprev
Go from there and add stuff like the modified Z1 manifold + porting.

Seen similar setups make 330-340whp. Sometimes a little higher depending on the dyno.

1LIFE 03-28-2015 11:00 AM

G3's
M370 or Z1 intake manifold
FI long tube headers
Stillen exhaust
Light weight flywheel
Uprev tune

Apart from US dyno's that read higher than the ones down-under ... must be because we are upside down.

Could someone tell me their experience with headers vs the stock manifolds? Is there a noticeable difference in power and noise? Do they tend to quiet down at a cursing speed? Also what is the difference between the Z1 manifold vs a stock? These are 2 modifications I'm considering. Thanks

Best value to dollar to HP for the Z.

I have the FI LTH's with 12" resontors and CBE. It's a bit loud. I gave up listening to the radio. Also have a G3 cai, and port match intakes for 334hp. For the install of LTH's. The right side takes about 1.5hrs if you're drinking beer. The left side will take about 6hrs if you're lucky. The hard part is taking out the stock heat shield and manifold. Putting the header up in is easy. You have to watch out for the rack+pinion sensor too.

so far the highest basic bolt on HP goes to a owner here in GA:

Z1 intake manifold
09 Maxima Throttle bodies
Stillen G3 intake
Z1 headers and test pipes
Tomei single exit exhaust

It made somewhere in the ball park of 348whp... Call Jon at Z1 motorsports they have a 400hp package that will get you set off in the right direction! we have about 2 dozen 330+whp Z's in atlanta...

Any examples of the 09 Maxima Throttle bodies mounted on a VQ37?

What is involved in getting these working and the gains they might show?

Elmo370z 06-18-2015 06:21 PM

Custom work

Elmo370z 06-18-2015 06:23 PM

1slow370z had his custom manifold made to fit those twin 70mm tb's

Elmo370z 06-18-2015 06:37 PM

Do you plan on tuning with uprev or ecu tek? You might be able to squeeze more hp tuning with ecu tek

Yes, I'm seeing the ECUTEK now showing some real advantages, not sure if they have roms ready for Q50 yet.

Also looking for a best parts recipe for the 3.7 in the Q that would make good noticeable improvements to possibly 320whp/270wtq with a tune.

Z1 intake manifold: Available

But most parts are not available yet::ugh2:

Stillen G3 intake: Not Available (have G2s)
Z1 headers and test pipes: Not Available
Tomei single exit exhaust: Not Available
Need some headers to get the intake breathing, not sure if anyone is making headers for the Q yet though, might get by with some HFCs.

You guys collectively are the most knowledgeable on the planet I've seen in making the VQ37 scoot. :driving:

If I had money to burn; like everyone else would just send their car to FI for their TT kit and call it a day.

Elmo370z 06-18-2015 10:42 PM

Bullet is far more knowledgeable than me. Good luck with the build

LENTZ 07-26-2015 07:13 PM

337WHP

Stillen SS Catback Dual Exhaust System
Stillen Gen 3 Ultra Long Tube Dual Intake Kit
Z1 Motorsports VQ Performance Headers
Z1 Motorsports SS Test Pipes
Z1 Motorsports VQ37 Intake Plenum Power Mod
Z1 Motorsports Urethane Transmission Mount
Uprev Tune

i swear i watch this vid daily.

Elmo370z 08-27-2015 07:45 PM

Ill be breaking that record hopefully within the next year if someone else doesnt beat me to.the punch

MicntaeG35 08-27-2015 08:21 PM

I'm hoping to see huge gains after my build.
What do yall think about this setup:
FI 12" exhaust (or motordyne e370, can't decide)
Motordyne ART pipes
Z1 shorties
Takeda CAI (already installed)
Motordyne M370 manifold
Ported and polished throttle bodies
TWN short shifter
And to top it all off, tune with ECUTEK

jchammond 08-27-2015 08:40 PM

i've already acknowledged it's around 6k for 60hp,using premium parts!
(+ or - a bit)

Elmo370z 08-27-2015 11:27 PM

All depends of how steep of a slope you wanna tread. Or spend another 14k and get 300 extra whp.

nismolucino 08-29-2015 12:20 AM

317whp and 269 ftlbs
Stillen Gen 3 Intakes
Bored Throttle Bodies by Maxbore
Ported Upper & Lower Intake Manifold by Synergy
ARK Grip V2 Catback Exhaust
CNT Racing Resonated Test Pipes
NST Underdrive Pulleys
Jwt Flywheel

May be installing z1 headers in the future, not really too power hungry. More suspension work is important to me right now.
