Did you just recently had a change oil? Check the oil filter it might not been tighten good. Is your oil plug tighten too?

it is at the dealer now I probably won't hear anything until this week. I change my oil every 5000 with synthetic at a Nissan dealership. It was not due until another 100 miles.

these are the 2 items that can have this huge leaks. Do you have an oil cooler? If so, it could be the busted hose on the cooler. Since the oil came right out when you pour it in, it might be the drain plug as it is at the lowest point of the motor. Oil filter/cooler are at a higher position so it would only leak when it is pressurized.
The oil pan is protected by a plastic under cover. So you have to hit something hard to go through both the plastic cover and metal oil pan and I am sure you would feel/hear the impact. Good luck... |
