Help, very little acceleration when I hit the gas??

I drove home from work this afternoon, and when I hit the gas the car would drive, but it would not accelerate very fast. I was around 30 miles until the tank was empty, so i stopped for gas. After I filled the tank, and turned the car back on, it was fine. Has this happened to anyone?

limp mode? if the car is driving fine and no DTC, i wouldn't worry about it.

This happened to me and a few other people here.

Solution: dealer cleaned throttle bodies. You can do it yourself if youre mechanically inclined

More info here and on another link found on this same thread: http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...ccelerate.html

OP, check your stillen intakes and make sure the tubes are connected tight. I'll echo the throttle body suggestion too.

Not sure why people want to clean the throttle bodies. During normal operation, the Zs TBs are open 100%...

Can always clean the MAFs, though.

Thanks for the replies guys. My car did not throw a code, and Gen 3 was connected fine. The problem has not happened again, but I will try to clean the throttle bodies and the gen 3 this coming weekend.

I ran into laggy throttle plenty of times w/ the Z, and/or mysterious lack of power. It never made any sense. I'd clean out my filters and do an ECU reset, and all would be dandy. No codes would be thrown.

Honestly, I hated the drive-by-wire throttle system they used.
