Next parts I'm thinking about getting is CBE, HFC and Header. Now some people say I won't need a HFC because it justs makes the ride sound louder. Would I be ok with just the CBE + Header? or would I also need the HFC so everything runs smoother... Thank you! |

I have heard from other members that we already have a very free flowing header so the cost against what you'd gain would be pretty pricey. I plan to do HFC one day but that's when I'll need a tune so I'm going to wait till my warranty expires so I don't have to deal with dealer BS as mine isn't very mod friendly. In my opinion my best mod was my Fast Intentions exhaust. I did the 18" resonators and I enjoy it daily. Best money I've ever spent on any vehicle. It turns a lot of heads even when I'm not looking to catch anyone's attention.

LTH will give the maximum HP output, but have a higher cost not for the part but installing headers can be a bit pricey if you pay someone (DIY is free).
Definitely get HFC, the cats on our cars are the restrictive part of our exhaust and opening those up will free up a good amount of HP.

Then all you need is a tune, not a bunch of parts. That's where the vast majority of the change in throttle response comes from. Parts help, but the tune addresses the actual throttle programming.

Sounds like you need lighter wheels, flywheel, rotors etc. that response will be greatly improved.

If money is tight get headers last. Get exhaust , HFC, tune and call it a day.

Personally, I would stay away from cat deletes. You will get fumes you don't want. That was one thing I hated about my 350z when I first did test pipes. The smell was killing me.
Next to my turbo, my favorite mod is the FI exhaust with 18" resonators. The note of that exhaust is amazing to say the least. Especially after 4K rpm. Then when all that forced air gets blown through it, it really sings. ![]() If you go with test pipes or lth and non resonated it will be extremely raspy. Some people love that, others don't. It does sound mean but it sucks starting your car at 7am and pissing off your neighbors. Not to mention it gets a bit annoying at that time in the morning on your drive to work. You could go with 12" resonators also if you want a little more aggressive sound than the 18"'s. Exhausts really change the sound of the car and not the driving experience though. Not anything you can tell by the butt dyno anyway. These headers flow! Im using them to push 15lbs of boost through. So your money would be better spent on other breathing mods. No CAI on the list? I will have a set for sale soon when I change my intake piping from 2.75" to the 3". But this will for sure require a tune, but since that's your plan......... ![]()
