Opinions wanted for modding

Already purchase the Gen 3, Transmission Cooler and the GTR Push button.

Next parts I'm thinking about getting is CBE, HFC and Header.

Now some people say I won't need a HFC because it justs makes the ride sound louder.

Would I be ok with just the CBE + Header? or would I also need the HFC so everything runs smoother... Thank you!

I have heard from other members that we already have a very free flowing header so the cost against what you'd gain would be pretty pricey. I plan to do HFC one day but that's when I'll need a tune so I'm going to wait till my warranty expires so I don't have to deal with dealer BS as mine isn't very mod friendly. In my opinion my best mod was my Fast Intentions exhaust. I did the 18" resonators and I enjoy it daily. Best money I've ever spent on any vehicle. It turns a lot of heads even when I'm not looking to catch anyone's attention.

Unless you go with long tube headers (which include the section you'd be replacing with HFCs), skip the headers. Absolutely do the HFCs and a cat back, and then a tune. Add an oil cooler if you'rte in a place that sees warm temperatures.

I plan on installing all the parts a week before getting it tuned. Thank god I live near Dynosty! haha

I've heard mixed reviews with the long tube headers...As for the place I live, I get 4 season weather hahaha So right now its starting to heat up just a little...

LTH will give the maximum HP output, but have a higher cost not for the part but installing headers can be a bit pricey if you pay someone (DIY is free).
Definitely get HFC, the cats on our cars are the restrictive part of our exhaust and opening those up will free up a good amount of HP.

I know this may sound stupid but i'm not too worried about how much hp i gain.
I just want more of a quicker response when I accelerate when I need to drive away from stupid drivers that dont know how to drive lol

More acceleration requires more power.

I meant response... lol instead of having like a slight lag before the power kicks in. (If that makes sense xD)

Also would it affect my gas as well? I'm sure the tune would fix that issue..

Then all you need is a tune, not a bunch of parts. That's where the vast majority of the change in throttle response comes from. Parts help, but the tune addresses the actual throttle programming.

Do you have emissions checking?

Sounds like you need lighter wheels, flywheel, rotors etc. that response will be greatly improved.

I was thinking the same. If that's all he wants then this combo above would be deadly lol. Price of light rotors and shops not so willing to turn them around my neck of the woods is what turned me away from doing light weight slotted rotors. But that combination of all three would be awesome!

So say you were to get 2 of the 3 combination that was listed CBE being a default, would you get a HFC or Headers? I guess i'm thinking in terms of if I change one thing, i'll want to change another so that the other parts can keep up with the upgraded part.

If money is tight get headers last. Get exhaust , HFC, tune and call it a day.

Changing the headers would most likely require you to remove the stock cats. Shorty headers are the only ones that allow the use of stock cats, and they're a waste of time and money. Your choice is HFCs or test pipes, or proper long tube headers that completely remove the cats.
