Default Underdrive Crank Pulley and etc

I made a similar post but I'm thinking about getting a Stillen Crank Pulley. However, the issue is that some members are saying that I would need to get an alternator pulley as well? Would I be fine with just the Crank Pulley and what it is the 'Underdrive' meaning for? Sorry, not a professional with cars as you can tell haha

Thanks!

This is a topic that will go both ways, some have had this pulley on their vehicle's for 20-30k miles with no trouble and others with tell you its not worth the risk due to the engine harmonics and other will say it will cause serve vibration that could cause catastrophic engine failure. I sold mine because i didn't want to risk it. Just my 2 cents

Ive ran them on my viper trucks drag racing them hard for years with no problems, but these engines seem alot more finiky /sensitive, to me the gains from it arent worth the risk on a 370

Yea...I was just wanting a more faster response when I accelerate, not worried about how much hp I gain lol

I think i'll have to pass on the pulley!

You're better off going with UpRev to eliminate the throttle lag. A lot better bang for your buck than installing pulleys.

Yeah, I believe a tune can eliminate most of the throttle lag these cars have stock. Finding a trust worthy tuner is one of the most difficult things in the car modding business so I def understand.

I'd ask around in your local forums and talk to some other Z guys in the area. They can probably point you in the right direct.

Have you searched? lol

I think Hal at Dynosty is right in your backyard and extremely reputable in the Z tuning world. I'd look his direction first.

Their website says they do full performance builds, so I'm going to venture that's a yes.

They also install parts as well so I'm pretty sure they wont charge an arm and leg like the stealerships do... time do start saving up haha

btw, how much does a tune-up usually cost and what does it do?
(Sorry, when it comes to certain things, I need specific details xD my ocd kicks in)
