Thanks bro, I'll buy two cans of that and put it back together. So to do a lsd swap I have to drop everything again right? It is a base open diff right now. -Raj

Yes, you have to drop the rear differential again, then crack open the cover and swap the internal LSD out. You have to get the LSD shimmed and balanced. I would leave the shimming to someone who knows how to.
Slop up as much oil as you can with throw away towels, then spray everywhere with the cleaner, whipe her down again and air dry for a little bit. Apply the gasket material onto the cover, make sure to go around the screw holes. Put the cover back on finger tight then let it dry for at least an hour before you go back and tighten everythign down with the wrench. YzGyz |

I would call around. I would think any place that works with drivetrains will be able to do it. Just call around and ask. Be sure to ask for how long it will take, price and if you can just bring in the rear differential with the LSD and get it done.

That sounds good to me, so I need to replace the fluid again and should I get the driveshaft balanced since it was taken off too? I ordered whiteline bushings since the diff is already out anyways. -Raj

Cf as in carbon fiber? I marked the driveshaft when taking it off, I'm just worried it won't go back into the same way I took it off -Raj

yes, carbon F. You didn't need to take it out to drop the rear differential. You can just lower the front end of the differential and then pry the back end out. If the driveshaft dont go in right, try spinning the driveshaft and you put it in. The splines should eventually match up and slide right in. At least that what I did when I removed it and did the clutch and CSC install. If the 4 bolts dont line up, you can just spin the front end of the differential where the bolts attach to line them up.

I Dropped just the 4 bolts, not the whole thing so just line them up? -Raj

Do they line up one way only? Or just one way? -Raj

... are we talking about the 4 17mm bolts ( I think they are 17mm) that connect the driveshaft to the rear differential right? If so, you just line the holes up (any hole ot any hole) and bolt her down.

Those are the ones. So it doesn't matter which way it goes? As long as it lines up?
