So its been a long while without my Z. Rod bearing had spun months ago. I found a G37 engine for 1950 shipped with 58k miles and 6 month warranty.

Another question is if the engine matters if the transmission was automatic or manual? It came from an automatic, mines a manual. Oh, and last question, would an engine that's from 2011+ work with my 2009 Z?

are you building the motor or just keeping it stock?

If your keeping it stock shoot for a motor with lower mileage...

If your building the motor then find the cheapest motor in decent shape and lowest mileage possible... then have your engine builder go to town.

Pretty much I'm keeping it stock until I can dish out the money to build my engine with the rod knock. I was trying to find one around 2 grand that's decent for a daily driver etc.

That sounds like a great deal and a good fit with your objectives. I would do it in your shoes.

Are they pretty reliable 100k+ miles just incase I just plan on keeping it in the long run?

Problems after 200,000 Miles

Your mileage may vary but that thread gives you a good idea on how stout these motors are.

Good luck with whatever you do.

That's pretty reliable. Just need to know if transmission type matters before I buy the engine.

I got two past resorts before I make a purchase. I bought a third party extended warranty and take the car to be diagnosed at Nissan to see if they'll good faith me.
