Default NISMO 370z DYNO SPECS

Baselined my NISMO 370z Today on the DYNO @ Performance Motorsport!
Dynometer used: "MustangDyne"

Note: Car is COMPLETELY STOCK

My baby ran the following numbers:
Uncorrected - 330 WHP @ 7500 RPM
Corrected - 327 WHP @ 7436 RPM
Corrected - 250 ft-lb @ 5500 RPM

I will scan and upload graph next week.

I TRUTHFULLY REGRET STARTING THIS THREAD

=====
Here is the DYNO Results from the BASE 370Z that ran the same day, on the same DYNO vs Nismo 370Z same day same dyno. If the owner wants to share his mods, he can. I can't say what he had, as i don't know.

Wow...330 WHP bone stock? That's awesome!

Now go back to the shop tomorrow and demand a refund for your bogus dyno-pull.

Yea...it's unfortunate I'm part of a minority who actually has balls to tell it like it is.

There must be some sort of error. Perhaps the "330 WHP" is extrapolated to BHP from WHP as I've seen done in the past many times. I don't think anyone is foolish enough to believe that the car actually made 330 WHP bone-stock on a Mustang Dyno. HAH, even if the NISMO actually does make that kind of power...it's the slowest 330 WHP, 3300 lb. car in the world.

Regardless of how false this information is...dyno figures outright mean close to nothing. The only purpose of a dyno is to tune and/or draw a comparison to a base-line. In this case, it means absolutely nothing what the raw figure is so long as the scale is consistent to all your other runs you will measure.

Hey...... Believe every bit someone made 330 rwhp on a bone stock car. Happens every day including people who don't even actually own one.

Dyno data useful? Yes and no. Agree there are so many variables and you see dyno sheets that for whatever reasons, vary as much as 50 hp from one dyno to another on equal modded cars. To get accurate comparisons it needs to be same dyno under the same conditions. You can easily get a 10-12 hp difference between dyno runs on a hot car vs cooler car especially if the hood is closed as it will heat soak the intake and MAF's.

Another thing is with a bolt on...you bolt it on. Whatever you get is what you get as you can't affect what the outcome is. However, on the tuning aspect a dyno is invaluable. Know it doesn't sound like much but Friday the Cobb tuning software finally seems to work and picked up 3-4 hp just from fuel/air tuning. Reviewing the logs and next time will work on MAF and timing settings. Think there might be another 4-5 hp in the car especially in the midrange where it appears to be pulling some timing out.

BTW....it did make 330 rwhp (Std). Not bone stock however.

remember... his z is nismo... so it already have the exhuast and intake with a tune... so its reasonable for him to have 330 whp...

Correct, the Nismo uses the same intake as the coupe. Only known performance changes are the exhaust and a tune.

A Nismo exhaust (proven <5hp gain) and a tune will never net 330whp. The guys who have done full bolt-on mods aren't even getting 330whp. No way this is true.

Not adding any fuel but......I have everything installed in my sig....and yes that includes a fully tuned Cobb AccessPORT and only get this:

Granted I used DynoJet.....but still.....I'm only getting 315 WHP with all the bolt-on's AND the Cobb.

Give the Cobb another try as you as I were in about the same boat. After downloading the newest version of their software and a dyno session on Friday, the car picked up. Finally!!!!!

If you would like, more than willing to share my tuning/log files and your welcome to them as none are available from Cobb. Just remember each car is different, probably different gas, different weather, etc. and it will still need to be tweaked on an individual basis. More data points however to mull over.

I'd like to see a database of members tunes to get a better overall prospective as I've found the car to be somewhat difficult to tune and the software a bit flaky. Certainly something to be gained by collective intelligence.

SAE the car made 323 rwhp which still isn't something to jump up and down about, but it's obvious the car has timing issues and may come around a tad more after getting a better handle on the car and more software refinement.

On a tangent...guys, that's better than a stock LS1. Think about it!!
