I take it that means you won't be posting the results of your second dyno run?
:rofl2:

Oh, and please do update your sig.

The issue is the information you are posting is so far outside of the norm it does not compute. If you came in here posting 280 or 290 we might believe it and know the Nismo is doing pretty good, but considering all that changes HP wise on your car is a tune and an exhaust you are not going to be 50HP above a stock coupe.

Zguy 10-11-2009 05:31 PM

anyone else on the forums have a Nismo that they have dynoed? There may be a bunch of things that nissan changed that they didnt mention... who knows.... No need to piss on someone because he got his car dynoed and it showed good numbers.... maybe he is new to the whole dyno area... someone who doesnt know anything about dynoes wouldnt know if something was funky... they would just be happy.... like the OP.... Personally I think the numbers are inflated but Its not IMPOSSIBLE for those numbers to be correct. Now I would call BS if there were other Nismo's on the forum putting down way less..... until then who knows.....

Per Equinox's signature: "274.2 whp 227.48 wtq."

chuckd05 10-11-2009 06:25 PM

I don't know why my post was ignored but I put down 279 whp / 255 tq on their dyno and 255 or 259 and 250 tq at no limit on their dynodynamics dyno on my old 03 g35 coupe that I just traded in. This dyno reads high which is not good or bad just something to take into consideration. Use your dyno as a baseline to improve upon with the mods you do.

What did you trap In the 1/4 mile?

chuckd05 10-11-2009 06:38 PM

Every single dyno is different and the number is not one to brag about unless you are comparing it to cars going on and off the dyno right after you. And in your case you did better than most cars there, and thats a good thing... So i would be happy with your dyno for sure, no doubt about it... If there dyno reads high, it reads high, who cares.. if your happy with your car than the puts you in the best possible position as the owner of the car... congrats on your sweet nismo 370, i wish i had the extra money to burn on the nismo, but in my case i have a base, is it shitty that i dont have a lsd or a sweet stereo, or the 19s, maybe to some, but to me im more than satisfied and thats all that matters.

"Don't hate the player... hate the game!"

LOL, if you did get some sort of weird freak, we'd all be the first to say it's very cool.

There is only one way for this to be settled. You MUST take the car to another dyno. :driving: Immediately. We expect an update tomorrow 5pm sharp.

RCZ 10-11-2009 07:28 PM

We arent saying you are BS, we are saying your numbers are BS so you can post all the dyno plots in the world and it wont make a difference. I completely agree with modshack; if you bumped into me with your stock z and told me you made 330whp I'd probably laugh in your face.

Its not a matter of doing a run somewhere else either. If you go to a more normal reading dyno, you will be lower.

No ones got anything against you here, just know that those aren't accurate numbers by any means. Usually the highest reading dyno's are dynapaks and even those are reading in the 290 range for a stock 370Z. Then the Dynojets reading about 285whp and then your heartbreakers the mustangdynes and the dynodynamics that are reading in the 260 range.

Be informed.

I can apreciate it when you put it in that context.

But when you put it this way:

I don't apreciate it.

I didn't make this post to brag about my numbers.
Though i was very happy when i compared the numbers to other 370z that ran that day, including another Nismo. I certainly didn't make this post to get flamed for numbers that i received from DYNO. This was my first Dyno experience ever.

As i've already stated in the original post, it was my personal baseline on that specific dyno. On top of that, i haven't seen anyone else post Nismo's DYNO specs anywhere online, so i posted mine.

So even if that specific DYNO shows higher numbers. I have already told you that there were bunch of 370Zs running on that Dyno. The fact of the matter is: Non-Nismo 370Z with bolt on's (intake, exhaust, & test pipes) ran lower HP, than stock Nismo. ON that specific Dyno, on that specific day.

So those who still have need to continue to flame me... flame on!!!

oh and....Those haters who requested me to take my HP numbers of my sig can kiss my a$$. It is what it is...

Knives 10-11-2009 08:35 PM

So, "on that particular day", your nismo (with a nismo exhaust and a tune) had more power than base 370s with better exhausts, cai, test-pipes, etc., "on that particular day". It just makes no sense.

I'm not calling you a liar. Like people have said before me, we're not questioning your integrity, we are questioning the integrity of the dyno results.

Oh, and I'll hold off on kissing your a$$.

So you are saying that even though Nissan says the 370Z makes 332hp and the Nismo 370Z makes 350hp which is due to catback exhaust and a tune, that some how more mods to a 370Z = less hp than a Nismo? Can't you see why everyone does not believe this information you are posting? It has been proven that exhaust + test pipes or HFC's gains more than 18whp with any aftermarket exhaust on the 370Z that I have seen, accept the Nismo exhaust which by it's self apparently only gains 5-6whp.

JoeD 10-11-2009 09:06 PM

Aside from WHP figures...I'm still curious to find out more about his 1/4-mile run. 1/8-mile MPH, 1/4-mile trap speed, etc.

Can you perhaps scan some of the time-slips? If anything, I just want to see more data compiled for these cars.

Performance Motorsport has a 370z touring+sport package. Project Car.

These are the facts i know about it:
It has Injen Intake, berk test pipes, Greddy exhaust, HKS coils, R compound tires. It made 328 WHP on their DYNO.

I didn't put anything on my car, i did 327 HP. 2500 miles on my engine atm.
My buddy put berk's test pipes on his Nismo, he did 332 HP.

That's all i want to say. This all is based on all the numbers i witnessed in that specific shop. I hope word twisting will stop...

Yes, i can scan it for you. Here are the numbers of my time slip, from when i went to the Drag Strip:

10:48 AM, 09/20/09, Temp: 62 F, Relative Humidity: 0, Absolute barometer: 30.13

R/T: .618
I made a whole in whatever is the next row data is, but it showing: 2.263
33x: 5.999
1/8: 9.081
MPH: 78.82
1000:11.654
1/4: 13.868
MPH: 102.16

Right first .6384

Note:
It was with 1300 miles on the Engine
Full Tank of Gas
Spare tire in the trunk.
