stooping battery
I have been reading posts for the past two weeks trying to see if anyone has found a fix for the battery drain. I even took baby girl to the stealer ship to see if they could figure it out. All the tests that they ran came out good but yet I still have the drain. My battery is less then a year old and battery terminals are on tight. Any help is welcomed thanks.

You have any aftermarket electronics installed? Stereo, amp, radar detector, etc?

Radar detector is all. Everything else is stock. I have unplugged everything and still it drains. I'm waiting to for the battery to die again. Usually 2-3 days, then go back to Auto zone with the dead battery and see what happens

It's sounds like you've tested everything but the battery.
If the battery tests good, then you need to isolate the parasitic load that is causing the problem - measure current, pull fuses, &c. The FSM has wiring diagrams and may even tell what the load should be when the car is "asleep."

At the dealership I was told I have a drain of 300mv, they also showed me some graph paperwork about the battery were everything was fine.
Do any of you guys know the numbers on the battery, cold amps and things like that.

Battery specs should be in Owner's Manual and/or FSM.

The only way I can think to diagnose this is to start pulling individual fuses and see on which fuse (circuit) the problem goes away. But I'm no expert on these types of problems.

Same thing happened to my wife's Sonata. Battery (from Auto Zone) would not hold a charge after 13 months. Brought it back to Auto Zone with receipt, battery tested bad and was replaced in the parking lot free-of-charge. That was two years ago and now, all is well.
Have the battery checked again...

Do you have anything plugged into the OBDII port? It will drain if so.
I had a drain on a previous car. I had to use a digital multimeter to measure current and started pulling fuses to see which one caused the drain. When I pulled the rear defroster fuse the drain went away and I knew where the problem was. |
