For those who installed...are you sure you didn't install the plate backwards? I know on the DIY that the problems you are having are the same symptoms from a backwards install.

I really hope this isn't a trash product. If it is, I'll gladly return it and go with another reputable company.

Yep absolutely sure everything is installed correctly. It's just not for me. Much more positive shifts with the stock shifter.

Man, if you guys actually saw the NST shop and met Mike there is no way you'd give him a dime. It's a shady POS shop. When I went to pick up a clutch I ordered online I was shocked. There were a couple of drift beaters outside and about $11 of product in a run down strip center.

Im pulling mine out and going back to the stock shifter this weekend. I hindsight the 370 has a pretty short throw and doesn't really need anything else for what I do.

Chuck what part of of Hiuston you in? ! My wife is from Pasadena.

Not sure how this is relevant or even all that factual although its your personal opinion so your welcome to it. The area of town he is in is cheap to run a business from yes...especially if 95% of your business is over the internet. On that note....Its hard to keep prices down on parts and pay for an amazing facility at the same time...especially if you don't really need the fancy storefront.

Ive personally known Mike since 2009 and have had no issues with him at all. I certainly dont think that he is shady in the slightest and have left my car with him for various projects over the years.

When it comes down to quality i think of NST, i have had the NST pulleys on my car since nearly day 1 and i have logged over 45,000 miles with them with 0 issues.

I had said, when i first reviewed this, that the ssk hung slightly going into 5th from 4th but only when i pushed hard far right then up instead of going over and up quickly...perhaps that comes down to individual shiting habits? Im not sure.

Ill take more pictures of the wear on the AMS this weekend and then when i follow up at 5k and 10k ill make sure to capture the wear to the NST.
In the end, after reading this thread, it seems a lot of people are just in the rage mode. The TWM knob costs 5 times more than the NST one which in my opinion is still, price for performance, the best bang for the buck on the market.

I have the NST SSK on my car and intend to leave it there. As planned, ill pull it all apart at around 5k miles and see how the wear on it compared to the wear i saw on the SSK i previously had installed.

Because the guy who seemed somewhat shady when I dealt with him is engaging in shady behavior here? Group buys that never deliver, not paying fees but still taking people's money through the site, shifters that apparently have issues.

So you have the NST short shifter installed on your car? What are your personal thoughts about how it shifts? Pros, cons... I'm just trying to get opinions before I go ahead and install mine. I hadn't seen these s*** reviews on this shifter until members from the GB had installed it. As of right now, from what I've heard... I think I'd be a complete idiot to install it?

Disregard Mozen... I found your SSK comparison. Why is it that everyone else isn't happy with the product ?

Im not sure, im not saying its the absolute best out there but for 55 bucks?...yea its good for me. The AMS i had cost nearly 170 and had a lot of wear for low miles driven plus was stiff due to the black shavings it had produced.

Im not sure why Mike did not renew his forum sub however i still dont feel he is being shady at all. Most of us that have purchased stuff from NST in the past have had to learn some patience. Could he stand to work on his business manufacturing and shipping model?....probably most of us would say yes. Does he make quality parts? I think so..the Pulleys i got are great quality and the SSK for the price is good as well.

I think I may go back to stock also just for the smoothness. Although people really wanting a shorter throw will like the product I was looking for comfort which it not terrible but why change something I don't have an issue with I guess
