Without a tune, you will probably run the same, with only cooler intake temps. To really get results, a tune is strongly recommended!

Yes, I've had a Snow Performance Kit for the last 3 years...I truly believe it has saved my motor

They make MAF controlled kits as well. For those that take their cars to the track and beat on them for 30 minutes at a time, will see the value in these kits!!!
