:yum: been waiting for this!

blackonorange 03-16-2013 12:14 AM

Why does it not work for me?

showme99 03-16-2013 12:17 AM

So is the starter kit considered a "tuner" kit and the complete kit a "turn key" kit? Also, if I'm reading this correctly, it looks like you have to purchase the complete kit if you want to keep your stock catalytic converters. Is that a true statement?

NeverBoneStck 03-16-2013 12:32 AM

Same issue here . Does not work .

Eighties Meta 03-16-2013 12:42 AM

DEpointfive0 03-16-2013 01:19 AM

ColdFire 03-16-2013 01:28 AM

Great figures and price. Would you consider adding a bigger radiators as an option ?

In all reality yes, the Starter Kit is considered a Tuner Kit. But what we have done is we have left certain components out for the individual who either has obtained these components previously or wishes to go an alternative route, i.e. fueling options, oil pan/cooler and exhaust options.

The Complete Kit will come with absolutely everything that one needs from turbo manifolds to zip ties minus software and tuning. We did this because we realize on a build of this magnitude individuals may prefer their own tuning solutions.

The elbows will be available for purchase without being required to buy the Complete Kit. This will allow you to keep your stock catalytic converters in their location.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you, Tony

Dzel 03-16-2013 06:23 AM

First the iPhone sucks. Now back to the topic the price is a good number considering the components. The workmanship is outstanding Tony please PM me email me or call me you have all my info. I'm sure your very busy so when you have a chance.

I'll ask this here the three tunes that come with the kit will it be driver friendly until I'm ready to send the car to get tuned. The closest place for me is 6 hours away and I'll have to drive the car around for a bit till I'm ready to take some time off to make the trip.

SPOHN 03-16-2013 07:51 AM

More than I thought.

blackonorange 03-16-2013 08:42 AM

Jeez 10g is no joke

Chuck33079 03-16-2013 09:13 AM

Price seems completely reasonable to me considering the components. Just the turbos alone cost quite a bit. Good job guys.

Yep.

I know their quality is top notch and I'm sure it's worth the money but its the most expensive kit now.

elperuano 03-16-2013 09:34 AM

A lot more than I thought it would be also

It is kind of pricey for GT28rs turbo's, but it doesn't cost to much more the the GTX2867 R upgrade. The components are of very good quality, and Im sure everything fits like a glove just like the rest of the Fast intention parts.

What I see missing is the turbo housing option's for both turbo's that are listed ,and how much they cost.

Dzel 03-16-2013 11:40 AM

Like I said in the teaser thread if you thought you could go out the door with this kit under 9k. I have some ocean front property in Ohio for sale.

C.

It was great catching up with you on the phone. I trust that I cleared up the question you had above. Now to share with the community...

The TiAL V-band stainless steel .86 A/R will come with either the Starter Kit or Complete Kit standard at no extra cost. We were going to add a separate picture of it on the flyer but felt it would start to look too busy.

You also asked a great question on the phone in terms of GT30 Series fitment compatibility with our kit. Yes, the GT30 Series turbochargers will fit directly into place with our manifolds and exhaust housings.

I think that this should cover it all for now.

Thank you, Tony

red6spd 03-16-2013 12:27 PM

Very nice.

N8GTOL 03-16-2013 02:03 PM

Any update if CARB approval will be pursued for this kit?

What will you guys be charging for an install at your shop?

Looks great guys! Props to the entire F.I. team. Quality parts as usual and it shows that you guys have done all your homework on this one. Like others have said, based on the form, fit, and function of your other Z parts, this kit should inspire a high level of confidence for any potential buyer.

Hey Tony congratulations on this magnificent TT kit! On topic, if i buy the Complete Kit is it possible to leave out some parts that i will probably not need like the elbows since i am running your test pipes and the Greddy oil pan(have one but not install yet)?

tower74 03-16-2013 09:15 PM

Hmmm how much for the top end kit without the Uprev? I already have that from my last kit. I read that once the car is flashed back to stock it can be used again on another car. Is this correct?

By the way, this kit isn't as much as I was expecting. I was guessing around 14-15k nice job on not bending us over the table!!!

122554 03-16-2013 09:34 PM

Pm me with an install price for the complete kit.

gleonard 03-16-2013 10:49 PM

I was wondering the same things

We are currently exploring the option for 49 state smog compliance as well as CARB compliant. The process is not going to be short and there is no guarantee that the approval will come. We will keep you all updated throughout the process. That being said, from day #1 the kit was designed to meet CARB requirements.

We have not dialed in the exact installation labor cost. Our shop labor rate is $90 per hour and I can promise you we are always fair with our pricing. There will be two ways to install the kit. With or without pulling the engine. Because we have the proper tooling it will be faster for us and more cost effective for the customer to have us pull the engine. If you would like more details on the installation please do not hesitate to give us a call.

Thank you for the positive feedback. When designing the kit last spring we were confident that our approach and outcome would reassure potential buyers that our kit is the highest quality in design and components.

Thank you for the positive feedback. The exhaust elbows have a V-band at the top connecting them to the exhaust turbine housing. The elbow will end in the exact location where the stock catalytic converter begins. The way we have designed the wastegate setup is to have them recirculate back in to the exhaust elbow prior to the catalytic converter location. The current test pipes that you have from us will go in the stock catalytic converter location just like they are in your NA application. As far as the oil pan, we have no issues backing that out of the kit price since you already have one.

Great question! As you can see, we are including the UpRev package at no extra cost for the first 10 buyers of the Complete Kit. Given that you do not need the UpRev package we will apply that discount towards other parts. For example, we will deduct the cost of the Bosch fuel injectors to be the discount. Keep in mind, this is if you are one of the first ten in the presale. I think that you are correct about the reflash back to stock. I will have to check with our tuner from SpecialtyZ to confirm for sure.

Thank you for your honesty and open mind in understanding the quality of parts this kit is comprised of. Now 14-15k would be very excessive for this platform and what the market would allow.

Thank you all for your questions and input. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Tony

Update,

I recently updated the first post directly under the flyer with the following information:

"The following items were intentionally left off of the flyer until they are sorted out and confirmed:

1) A top priority is to have financing available for the kit. Not to be confused or mistaken with the layaway plan that we currently offer. Financing will allow our customers to purchase and receive their kit right away and make payments towards the balance over time.

2) As soon as the kit is in production our goal is to have inventory. When the end consumer and dealers place their order, it will ship within 24-48 hours.

The following item was not left off of the flyer intentionally and will be added early next week:

1) All of the Bosch fuel injectors that we provide are flow matched to each other. This will ensure a consistent spray to each cylinder.

Thank you, Tony"
