Any update if CARB approval will be pursued for this kit?

What will you guys be charging for an install at your shop?

Looks great guys! Props to the entire F.I. team. Quality parts as usual and it shows that you guys have done all your homework on this one. Like others have said, based on the form, fit, and function of your other Z parts, this kit should inspire a high level of confidence for any potential buyer.

We are currently exploring the option for 49 state smog compliance as well as CARB compliant. The process is not going to be short and there is no guarantee that the approval will come. We will keep you all updated throughout the process. That being said, from day #1 the kit was designed to meet CARB requirements.

We have not dialed in the exact installation labor cost. Our shop labor rate is $90 per hour and I can promise you we are always fair with our pricing. There will be two ways to install the kit. With or without pulling the engine. Because we have the proper tooling it will be faster for us and more cost effective for the customer to have us pull the engine. If you would like more details on the installation please do not hesitate to give us a call.

Thank you for the positive feedback. When designing the kit last spring we were confident that our approach and outcome would reassure potential buyers that our kit is the highest quality in design and components.

Hey Tony congratulations on this magnificent TT kit! On topic, if i buy the Complete Kit is it possible to leave out some parts that i will probably not need like the elbows since i am running your test pipes and the Greddy oil pan(have one but not install yet)?

Thank you for the positive feedback. The exhaust elbows have a V-band at the top connecting them to the exhaust turbine housing. The elbow will end in the exact location where the stock catalytic converter begins. The way we have designed the wastegate setup is to have them recirculate back in to the exhaust elbow prior to the catalytic converter location. The current test pipes that you have from us will go in the stock catalytic converter location just like they are in your NA application. As far as the oil pan, we have no issues backing that out of the kit price since you already have one.

Hmmm how much for the top end kit without the Uprev? I already have that from my last kit. I read that once the car is flashed back to stock it can be used again on another car. Is this correct?

By the way, this kit isn't as much as I was expecting. I was guessing around 14-15k nice job on not bending us over the table!!!

Great question! As you can see, we are including the UpRev package at no extra cost for the first 10 buyers of the Complete Kit. Given that you do not need the UpRev package we will apply that discount towards other parts. For example, we will deduct the cost of the Bosch fuel injectors to be the discount. Keep in mind, this is if you are one of the first ten in the presale. I think that you are correct about the reflash back to stock. I will have to check with our tuner from SpecialtyZ to confirm for sure.

Thank you for your honesty and open mind in understanding the quality of parts this kit is comprised of. Now 14-15k would be very excessive for this platform and what the market would allow.

Thank you all for your questions and input. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Tony

Update,

I recently updated the first post directly under the flyer with the following information:

"The following items were intentionally left off of the flyer until they are sorted out and confirmed:

1) A top priority is to have financing available for the kit. Not to be confused or mistaken with the layaway plan that we currently offer. Financing will allow our customers to purchase and receive their kit right away and make payments towards the balance over time.

2) As soon as the kit is in production our goal is to have inventory. When the end consumer and dealers place their order, it will ship within 24-48 hours.

The following item was not left off of the flyer intentionally and will be added early next week:

1) All of the Bosch fuel injectors that we provide are flow matched to each other. This will ensure a consistent spray to each cylinder.

Thank you, Tony"

Yes dropping the motor will speed things up especially for in house installs as we have all the proper tools, etc. It is however not required. Tony will have to chime in on exact times I just wanted to best answer the question for now. Oh, and by the way happy Sunday everyone. :tiphat:

Is the financing option available immediately for the kit or is that something expected to show up in the up coming month?(I.e. not untill the kit has started to be produced?)

We already have most components in production for the kit. We are going to do at least 2-3 additional installs before we start shipping the kit out the door. We want to make sure that once in hand by you the customer, there is no installation issues with the kit.

Now once we have the financing option in place you are more than welcome to take advantage of that option. If you are interested in placing an order and leaving a down payment than please do not hesitate to call me directly.

Thank you, Tony

We are trying to give our customers the most options available. #1 Full payment up front and the kit ships right away. #2 Financing option where the kit ships right away however you make monthly payments. #3 Last but not least, layaway option where you put down an initial deposit and make monthly payments. Once the kit is paid in full it would ship.

Thanks, Tony

You are going to sell so many more kits with the monthly payment option. And it makes it so tempting!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I will give you a call soon just to talk some numbers and we will go from there. I recently got a new much better paying job and I promised my GF we would get our own place but you are making it much more difficult LOL.
