Just got it yesterday. That was snail mail for sure. I'll let you know how it works out for me.

awesome glad you got it!

Sorry it took so long to get to you though. Some states take a lot longer then others for shipping.

The install only took about 10 minutes and was super easy. The pedal feels like it takes a little bit more force now, but I can feel the clutch engagement better. It also feels a little loose for the first inch (that's what she said) like there's no resistance at all, but then it feels normal after that.

So I'm still a little confused on what this actually does? Lol

Default FS: Clutch Helper Springs!!!! Century Spring P/N 72577

So I think I'm going to to uninstall this. The ends of the spring are very roughly cut with many sharp edges. This prevents the spring from easily spinning as it compresses and decompresses. The result is a pretty loud 'spring' noise when I use the clutch pedal.

Update: I took the spring out and used 220 grit sandpaper to smooth the cut surface and round any sharp edges. Then I applied a small amount of WD-40 to the ends of the spring and the pieces it rests against. So far it's back to being quiet.

happy to hear you have reduced the squeak.

I haven't heard many complaints about this, maybe the sliding piece that is inside the spring is low on the white grease auto manufacturers love to use. (anyone will know what I am talking about if they installed the spring)

Thanks Mike! Received and installed it yesterday. I had been driving a week without a spring at all and the intelligent key light was coming on. Dealer scanned it yesterday and said there was a clutch sensor error that may be causing the key light. They cleared the codes and sent me home. I installed the new spring last night and had them scan it again tonight. Still no light or code. Coincidence, hmmmm, we may never know.

Mine has been installed. Very easy install (for a hubby). I no longer have to "think" about shifting. Much better.

Thx Lmb!

So.... does this make the pedal less stiff? I can't find a definitive answer.
