Removing the spring also works. However on some of the threads here it was discussed how there was side to side play in the clutch pedal assembly with no spring. With a spring it makes it much more rigid feeling, pedal feels supported the whole way up and down. So yes no spring works......... But are just thinking it might cause a little extra unnecessary wear on it. In the end it's up to you both work and both are a huge improvement over the OEM spring IMO.

As for the little bit of play maybe 1/4"-1/2" tops. From what some people have told me is starting to sound common as the only complaint after some installs....... However I have talked with another member and there is a way you can adjust that......at least they said they could. Weird though because mine had no issues.... I should be getting my car out of storage hopefully March 31st(sounds weird to say that living in Ontario lol). So when I have my car I am going to take out my spring and reinstall doing a DIY in the process for everyone. I will also then play around with the seating plates that are in the assembly and post a fix for that as well. In the mean time hope everyone is enjoying the springs!!!!

When putting the pin back in (I removed my spring to test this out), I had the hardest time doing so. I depressed the clutch to the floor, brought it back some, wiggled it, tried compressing the spring, using a flathead to pry up on the assembly, but nothing would let me get the pin past 3/4 of the way in. I had to use locking pliers to finish the job.. what the hell did I do wrong
