This kit comes complete with all the items necessary to do a complete oil change on your car.

Nissan 5W-30 Ester oil is recommended by Nissan/ Infiniti for all 370Z/G37.

The kit consists of the following:

5 qts of Genuine Nissan Ester Engine Oil (5W-30)
1 Nissan Oil Filter
1 Copper Crush Washer

Nissan states that the oil change capacity w/ a new OEM Filter is 5 1/8 Qts. Customers changing their oil for the first time will need to purchase a 6th Qt of oil to fully re-fill their engine. The remaining 7/8 Qt can be reused at a later date for future oil changes if desired.

Ouch, $60 plus shipping. I got 5 quarts of Mobil 1 5w30 and an oversize Purlator filter for $30.

You're comparing apples to oranges. This is OEM branded oil with an OEM filter.

I get the redline oil from z1, very convenient place to order. I wouldn't use mobil 1, just from experience.

I actually took the jug of Mobil 1 back to Walmart for a refund when I started reading up on it. I bought some Redline 5w30 instead!

Mobil1 is the worst thing you can put in your Z. For that crap you can save a few extra bucks and put in pennzoil. Same difference when it comes to these cars.

Ok, Since I am new to this engine could you all explain to me what is best oil type wise for this engine and why or if there is a thread on it then link would be awesome. Trying to search for other parts I need to source and I am running out of time.

I know redline is good stuff but is it better than the Nissan oil etc etc. Please no personal experiences as that is subjective. I would prefer more on the fact side of things.

I'm not good with this feedback. We only use the Ester oil in our G37 and 370Z.

Anyone ever use Royal Purple in lieu of Ester Oil modified?
