That sucks that the vendor would bend the lip, probably so they could save money shipping it in a smaller box. Did folding the lip leave a crease or damage? Did you speak to the vendor about this before putting on the lip?

Hey Strider I know I sent you a PM about your lip, I just got mine too and it was folded up, but according to some googling thats actually a pretty common thing for a Polyurethane lip .. And usually that letting them sit in the Sun and/or hitting with a hairdryer/heatgun should bring it back to its original shape..

The pics don't make the fitment look that bad.. What was so bad about it?

Also any else get theirs and care to comment?

Well this particular lip was one of one shipped from showstoppers. Unfortunately this order was before DriveLine became a Master Distributor of JP USA products. We have talked it over with JP USA, as well as showstoppers and compensation will be made.

Honestly, we ask that all customers take up their concerns directly with us before posting on the forums. Looking at the timeline of your order, we have been EXTREMELY informative with every detail since the beginning of the transaction. In the last 3 e-mails we received, I asked 3 times for pictures of the damage. It wasn't until we saw your thread when the pictures were actually received.

To continue in our attempts at offering one-on-one services, we'll be replying to you via E-mail, phone, and PM. Hopefully you'll do that same.

No this is never the case. With Polyurethane lips, they are easily bent. I'm sure with the way UPS usually handles these packages, the box probably got crushed along the edges causing the lip to bend in an unusual fashion. Being that we have received no pictures of the lip (prior to paint and install), nor the box itself, I cannot make an accurate guess at what happened.

I assure you the problem is far more black and white than it appears.

We've made that attempt, however the lip has already been painted and installed.

Being that this item had been painted and installed, the extent of what we can offer is very limited. In any other case, we'd issue a pickup claim with the shipping company and a replacement would be sent out the next business day. With your order, the terms are a little different. Being that the damage did not come from JP USA's manufacturing, we'll assume all responsibility for what has happened (something most vendors wouldn't do). This will be PRIVATELY and professionally handled unless you'd like to our reply to the forums. Either way we'll help you just the same.

Quote from JP USA in regards to this shipment:

"The way these lips are made, the urethane is soft enough to withstand any aggressive flexing or folding. When a certain amount of heat is applied, the lip will return back to its original form. The customer will need to leave this out in the sun for a period of 1-2 hours and all evidence of potential damage will be gone."
