Attention Nissan: the panic button on your key fobs serve no purpose for Z owners. Panic buttons are for little old ladies so they can avoid getting mugged and so that alcoholics can find their cars.
I have set off my alarm many times when climbing in and out of the car with my keys in my pocket.... Never again!!! Permanently disabling the panic button is as easy as these few steps: All that is needed is a small flat head screwdriver 1.jpg Remove the key from remote 2.jpg Pry the key fob open 3.jpg Gently pry the IC board from the fob 4.jpg Carefully pry the square shroud containing the small round button from the IC board 5.jpg Keep the sqaure metal shroud, discard the small round button 6.jpg Press the square metal shroud back in to the IC board 7.jpg Reassemble the key fob and live happily ever after!!! |
