Key fob panic button delete
7 Attachment(s)
Attention Nissan: the panic button on your key fobs serve no purpose for Z owners. Panic buttons are for little old ladies so they can avoid getting mugged and so that alcoholics can find their cars.
I have set off my alarm many times when climbing in and out of the car with my keys in my pocket.... Never again!!! Permanently disabling the panic button is as easy as these few steps: All that is needed is a small flat head screwdriver Attachment 96151 Remove the key from remote Attachment 96152 Pry the key fob open Attachment 96153 Gently pry the IC board from the fob Attachment 96154 Carefully pry the square shroud containing the small round button from the IC board Attachment 96155 Keep the sqaure metal shroud, discard the small round button Attachment 96156 Press the square metal shroud back in to the IC board Attachment 96157 Reassemble the key fob and live happily ever after!!! |
Never had that problem with any car I've owned. I actually like it. I've set it off just because I see some dude that looks shady eye balling my car. Could be nothing, but why chance it when I can scare him away with a push of a button?
