:ugh2: uhh anyone know where I can get telephone cords these days? :icon17:
|
Use Cat 5 ethernet cable....
|
Then he'd have to switch the ends out though and the cable is way thicker to route

Hmmm
Don't ethernet cables all have fatter connectors? Do they come with the same size telephone connectors these days? |
Yes Ethernet is fatter that's why I said you'd have to switch the ends ;)

telephone cable is four pin, ethernet is 8
you can put a phone end on an ethernet cable but the wires would have to be spliced together if they are to be used in that case... I'd have to see the application. |
Thanks for all the input guys :D
I was really surprised how easily I gutted the entire inside of our car. The pieces came off easily. The clips held tight, but having proper prying tools really helped. Hopefully will get the radar and front shifters in place tonight and can start cleaning up my wiring. Bringing home some clips and shrink tube from work |
I may have the crimping tool at home.... not 100% sure as we are moving and some stuff is in storage. I'll bring it to the Z Club meet on Thursday night if you're coming...

DIY : Radar display in mirror
Quote:
Yup. Just be sure it's the 6 pin rj12 connector you need. They also use a narrower rj11 connector with 4 wires for the power cable. Both available at the source. And ensure when you align the heads they are dead level and straight to the front not following the car bumper shape. I should be doing some LIDAR testing this summer so I'll keep you posted and you can get your install checked too. Also don't use the same spot I did go up two slots  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Call me ignorant, but does the mirror just allow the light to pass through without etching?
