lol.. me too!

Let us know your thoughts after install.. when you've had a chance to give them a run. On the dyno it takes 5-7 WOT runs to get the ECU adapted and see the gains. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes on the street (in the appropriate area of course.. ) to get things going..

Nice little growl as you gun it. I like the new sound. Can't comment too much yet on the difference felt on the butt dyno as I haven't been accelerating hard (beyond 5500 RPM) before the G3 install and since (rain and traffic today). Nice CAI...glad I bought it!

Just placed my order for the G3. My only concern is cutting the holes too big. What consequences am I going to have if I cut them too big?

Not much...fits fairly snug when filters are in place. Just test fit and trace an outline with a sharpie and do your best. On mine, the hole on the passenger side is bigger than it needs to, but there's not much movement happening.

Mine are on the Fedex truck waiting to be delivered. In the mean time I torn the engine bay apart waiting on Fedex. One thing I noticed is that the previous owner had already cut out the plastic for the intake.... Happy and sad because I don't need to waste my time doing that step but also sad because my cars cherry has already been popped.

I finally got a chance to play around today and needless to say, I LOVE IT! Definitely worth the money for the intake. I didn't get a chance to play yesterday because as I installed the bumper, the Florida weather became irrational. I can definitely feel the added power and the engine sounds beautiful now.

Wish I had money for an exhaust now.

I just got my G3 intake from fedex and plan to do the install this week. My only concern is the situation with the AC hose getting worn through. I plan to put some rubber tubing over it to protect it, but I would like to know what diameter and length of hose to buy?

Thanks in advance!

Rob, just eyeball some at the local auto parts store. I did with no problem, and then I tie-wrapped the hose onto the A/C lines. I'd guess the hose was about 3/4" diameter or so...and the length? Since the intake tube is round, length is not a concern, use about 3-4 inches.

A great tool for cutting the holes, the Dremel Carbide Cutting and Shaping Tool. Available at HD, Lowe's, any hardware store that carries Dremel stuff. It cut through the material like butter, and you can use it almost like a lathe as well as a cutter. Total cutting/shaping time: about 5 minutes per side. Cost was $16

Steve:

Thanks! I just want to be sure to have everything on hand before I start the install.
