Hood dampers?

Anyone tried installing hood dampers? Saw these on Ebay.

Buy the Z1 ones. At least you know they'll fit.

I remember seeing at least one other thread discussing hood struts/dampers/rods. If you can't find anything using the site's search function, try using Google with "site:the370z.com " prepended to your search string. Eg:
site:the370z.com "hood strut"
site:the370z.com "hood damper"

Thanks for the "heads up". If I decide to do it, I'll get them from Z1.

If you do any amout of wrenching on your car, getting that damn hood prop out of the way is a godsend.

Any one running the Z1 struts with the Carbon Element wrapped baattery/fluid covers? Any problem? any bulge?

+1 on Z1 hood struts, installed in less than 10 min, great customer support.

Ordered a set from Z1 yesterday (Monday) at noon. They were delivered Tuesday via standard Fedex. I'm only 150 miles away.

I couldn't find the install guide online and they are coming in today. I was wondering if you had taken both of the nuts off at the same time on one side of the hood and if you had any allignment problems. I saw that kelly fields only had to take one nut off but the brackets in z1's pic looks like i have to take two off. just curious and any info is greatly appreciated.
