Sure thing. Looking at the motive pump again, I'm tempted to just make my own adapter and use my brake bleeder Motive pump to do the diff oil. Since it already includes a fitting to change the different caps you use, it should be easy to make a tube that screws on and has a 90deg hollow metal end to go in the diff.

I installed straight MT-90 in the transmission but can't say I would recommend that overall. The transmission felt great on the track but is notchy on the street especially when cold, the oil is too viscous when below 200F. The new MT-85 looks to be a better recipe for our transmission.

I am currently shipping back the 90 to Z1, and in a few weeks when it arrives they will ship out the 85.

It's not gold, it's brass, I'm guessing from the syncro's. A small amount during break in is ok but if it continues you have a problem. How many miles?

Ruh roh. Just drive until there is a problem shifting. The dealer won't do anything about tiny shavings in your fluid. You have a 5 year powertrain warranty. Just don't install a short shifter, aftermarket clutch or flywheel.

Yea, I wont be doing any mods that could void the powertrain warranty now which is a pity. I was thinking about clutch and flywheel options until I saw this mess in the oil.
@ChrisSlicks it has 3000 miles More on topic--I'm glad I changed to redline but shifts feel exactly the same as before. I'm sure when it gets cold again there will be some difference |

Hopefully just some normal break-in wear, the first 1000 miles or so on the transmission will create some. Do another change in 6-months and see what you get. Most important just bring it to the dealer if you detect anything out of the ordinary.

Not to worry- that's not too much glitter. The other thing to watch for is any large chunks of brass or steel in the shavings. It's normal for there to be some syncro wear, but anything that looks like a small mass should be examined more closely. Whenever I change the tranny oil in my road race T2 Z, I look very carefully at the "glitter" to make sure no major damage is showing up.
