Easiest way I can think of to do that is by putting the new switch in series with the start switch (seems you've already figured that out). Let me look at the FSM and see if I can figure out which wire it is.

Edit:
Using section SEC of the 2009 FSM:
Page SEC-126 shows that pressing the starts witch sinks a BCM input to ground. Connector M50, pin 1 is ground and M50-4 goes to terminal 89 on the BCM.

Page SEC-132 gives the pinout for M50. Pin 1 is a Black (B) wire and pin 4 is Brown (BR).

You could also use the brake/clutch (AT/MT) switch. Put the switch in series with either wire coming from the switch.

Edit2: I didn't check the drawings for the brake switch, so breaking it may disable brake lights.

yw. You can double-check by putting a volt meter on the Brown wire. Should have some volts (not sure how many but probably 5-12VDC) when switch is NOT pressed and drop to zero when you press the switch. Black wire should have continuity to ground.
