NEW 370Z Mishimoto Radiator Install
I installed the NEW Mishimoto Radiator over the weekend. The install was straight-forward and an easy install for you Do-It-Yourselfers. I was very impressed with the quality and that everything fit perfectly without having to modify anything on my Z.
The stock radiator core is only 13mm thick with 1 row. The Mishimoto radiator core is a massive 40mm thick with 2 rows. I don’t have any gauges to compare the temperature differences, however, I use my infrared temperature gun to gather a few reading. I saw an average of 20-30 degree decrease in temperature when comparing different areas of the radiator and engine before and after install. Also my oil temps are much lower as well. This was an unforeseen benefit and much needed living in Florida. I posted a YouTube video and some pics below. You may find them useful if you are looking to replace your stock radiator. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Forgot to mention. Stino, those pictures and the video are great! Do you have a version of the first picture without the text boxes by chance? We would love to use it on the website! Feel free to send me an Email directly at sales@mishimoto.com if you have any questions.
Thanks! -Pat

The Mishimoto radiator is a quality made product. I have used their radiator in the past on my Mustang GT, originally I had replace the factory radiator with a Fluidyne which was much more money but the quality was very disappointing, I had to re-weld the overflow tube to the neck and the core seeped at the tanks when the outdoor temperatures dropped. I have had the Mishimoto radiator in the car for over 5-years and never had a problem. when the time comes for the Z I would probably go in the same direction.

I'm very happy with the product and end result. I also love the piece of mind that it's protected by a lifetime warranty. Feel free to reach out to me for any questions before or during the install. Install Note: Before the install, I took my Z to a local radiator shop to have the A/C refrigerant removed. Then after the install I took it back to have it evacuated, leak tested and recharged. This cost me $89.00. Stino

How about the Thermostat? does it work with the stock one or had to replace it? (don't know much about this subject)

No need to replace the stock thermostat. It's a pretty straight forward install.

That's a good point. I didn't think on that.

I have a 34 row oil cooler, would this leave enough room for that? I think it is about 1.5 inches of clearance to the stock radiator.

All oil coolers are the same thickness, don't order Mishitimoto. Order CSF made here in the US of A. I love mine. Ask around

The Mishimoto Radiator is an awesome radiator for the Z and I highly recommend it. However, don't take my word for it. Do your own research as I did. I personally wanted a two row radiator with more capacity than the CSF. This radiator helps keep cooling temps down including my oil temp.
