I wanted to add this to the post, my gages are hooked up to these two power wires in the main fuse box. One is a 15 the other is a 30 amp fuse depicted with a black mark on the side of the fuse. These power wires come on with the ACC. Also used the 12V cigarette lighter ground as my ground. These will work for your lights.

I just did a DIY the other day that gives you an interior power point that is switchable with the headlights. You might want to run a volt tester to see how much current is available but it runs the rear Fog light with no issues. and only takes 2 mins to get to.

DIY: Fog Light Hard Wire in less than 10 Minutes! W/Headlight integration!

This is superb! I've got mine wired up, but I will be working on another Z this weekend so this could come in handy. :tiphat:

Why didn't you wire them to the dome light so when the door shuts they go out with the regular dome light.

Because I still want them to come on at night when the headlights come on. If I wired them to the dome light they'll only be on when I open the door. They give a nice touch to the Z at night, imho.

I am interested in using this power point. But how can i make sure i don't overload the wiring going to that heated seat switch with both Fog light and under dash lighting?

The switches are on a 10A fuse and all the current goes through them (SE-11 of 2009 FSM), so it shouldn't be a problem unless you are using a lot of lights and both seat heaters on high at the same time. Use LEDs and you will have plenty of juice in the seat heater circuit.
