YAW Sensor Rocker Switch

Don't know if this is the right section since I'm not actually posting a DIY, hwoever, I'm asking if anyone has done a DIY of hooking the yaw sensor to

Default YAW Sensor Rocker Switch

Don't know if this is the right section since I'm not actually posting a DIY, hwoever, I'm asking if anyone has done a DIY of hooking the yaw sensor to a rocker switch that looks like the heated seat switches.

I would like to completely turn off VDC while I'm on the track but when I'm driving on the street I would like to have everything back on, including yaw control. I've done some research on the subject but haven't found anyone who's actually done it. Would it be as simple as buying a rocker switch and soldering everything together? Or are there specific things I should be concerned about when doing this?

I think the only question that's left unanswered is does the VDC system automatically reset when the yaw sensor is re-enabled.

This project really shouldn't entail much more than identifying the +12V wire that powers the switch and then just putting the switch in that line.

Yes that was my concern as well. Obviously if it doesn't automatically reset when the sensor is enabled then having a switch would be pointless...

Is there anyone who knows how to test this? whether using electronic sensors or only through practical testing (driving)?

I did something simliar too and it seems that you have to turn the car off to regain connection. I've done it to my ABS/VDC/TCS box by the handbrake and it works but I still haven't test all the parameters to it.

If all it takes is turning the car off then it's really not such a big deal. I think it's a fair compromise rather than having it off full time. I'm in for more and, when I get the chance, I'll probably try it out myself and see what happens. My only concern is how to test it in order to give a definitive answer to the forum.

the Z33 guys have been disconnecting the fuse to do burnouts, and others have been putting a switch on VDC to completely remove it.

We don't have a good test or range of it working/not working...

here is it working on my Z without the fuse being pulled. As most know if you don't pull the ABS fuse the car will die when attempting to do a burn out. Also other have noticed that the ABC/VDC isn't completely off when trail braking and conflicts with certain driving styles i.e. trail braking....

so im bringing this back to life cause i wanna know how you did or what you pulled to be able to do a burn out as shown.

Also i made a rocker switch to disconnect my yaw sensor. Once its flipped VDC and the SLIP light come on. I can switch it off while the car is on and you must restart the car to turn the lights off.

On the 07/08 I just cut power to the box near the handbrake. With what you've done can you do a standing burnout?

nope but shouldn't be that far off on getting a z34 to do it with a swtich...guessing here so I'm not sure.

Just an FYI. I did a switch on the yaw sensor on my 13 to the green 12v power wire today. When disabled only the slip light comes on. I still have to turn off the VDC with the OEM button on the left side

It also stays off till you restart the car.

does the VDC kick in though when the slip light is on and you get a little sideways?

Don't know actually. I'll try but I'm sure it does since the traction control will still turn on and off normally.
