You're probably driving faster even though you don't know it. You just want to hear the exhaust sing
A new exhaust should lower temps in theory Check your oil levels, and is there anything else we should know? Like is today's temp especially high?

I know but the VQ has a skirted block and the oil pan is VERY shallow there for the oil is taking allot of the heat from the block with very little time to cool, where as your BB has a stamped steel oil pan and it very deep and can remove heat quickly.

True that, and I jus turned on car right now and the temp jus rose super fast. I also lowerd the car on swift springs yesterday if it makes any difference, and I had the car jacked up for about 3 hours?

230 or so oil temp is not unusual for 85 ambient with a little spirited driving. I don't get too concerned until it gets to 245 or so.

I guess it's possible, but just an exhaust can throw the A/F that out of whack...
If the OP is afraid of this, disconnect your negative terminal, turn the lights on to drain any residual electricity, then reconnect the negative
