They just pop out 4 clips on each corner, comes out pretty easy. Only thing is you don't want to mark up the surrounding area. Either use plastic tools and/or cloth over the pry tool.

I should confirm when you say dome lights you are talking about the pair of map lights?

+1 on using a plastic or nylon tool to remove the covers. Also, use some additional adhesive on the bulbs. The stuff on the back of the panel just won't hold up.

Replaced mine in my red Z with red bulbs and am very pleased. Be sure to use the right kind of tiny "screwdriver" when you pop out the lens covers to avoid cracking them. The kit I bought also includes colored bulbs for the light inside the hatch and above the license plate, though the exterior ones are illegal in PA and I obviously didn't install them.
Similar bulbs for the foot wells may be next, though I think those might be a bit much.

So I just did this last night and they look and work great, except when I close the doors and they go off - there's still a faint light coming from the LEDs. If I turn it to "Off", it goes away.

Any ideas? I bought the JWM LEDs too.

How long do they stay on? They may take a little longer to go completely dark since LEDs use so little power. If they stay on a little all the time, something's not right. My JWM LEDs turn off immediately, but I've had bulbs on other vehicles that took a few minutes to go out.

It's just a slight glow after they go out (like the door closing), but I'll test it out tonight and see if the glow goes away on its own. I just switched it to off this morning and the slight glow went away.

It happens on some 370Z's and even other cars we sell leds to. It's usually caused by a little current that flows when the lights are off. The stock bulbs aren't as sensitive as leds so they don't light up.

There will be no issues as long as you use the car every 2-3 weeks at least. If it's going to be parked for a long time use a tender for the battery.

Okay, thanks.

It does stay on the entire time I'm driving, but when I exit the vehicle and the lights go off the glow goes away, so it's not like it is glowing right now sitting in my garage. Whew.

Thinking I'm going to get some sort of tint on the map lights. These things are BRIGHT.
