DIY: Weight reduction/Fix hatch not opening issue

Just pulled out this weight out of my Sep 2009 370z. The hatch seems to close exactly the same as before, whereas when opening it, sometimes it pops fully open

The hatch seems to close exactly the same as before, whereas when opening it, sometimes it pops fully open (one handed opening), sometimes I need to help it up. Anyway, I'm happy to have removed it.
