Well my dumbass sprayed too close and it ran. I let it dry and tried sanding of that spot. Needless to say it was a pain in the ***. Also the lines at the end are choppy. I tried my best to neatly tape off the ends but it wasn't good enough. From a distance it looks ok but once you come in close and you can see my shoddy work. I'm debating if I should just strip it and start over or just have a body shop do it. Simota how were you able to get the lines so neat? I'll take pics during lunch and post them up.

I did mine this weekend and it didn't go too smoothly... I used flat black and a matte
clearcoat. For some reason the clearcoat got messed up, it turned white... So I sanded the clearcoat off and did 2 more coats of the flat black, no clearcoat. I am planning on getting a clearbra anyway, so I figured I can do without the clearcoat. In the end it looked fine, only problem were the lines on the left and right of the fangs, they were not straight! I really did my best neatly taping, but just like Zeto, not good enough. But I solved the problem today, I bought a set of fine brushes and sort of pin striped the ends, it turned out quite nice. I took before and after pictures, which I'll post tomorrow. So Zeto, I'd say try the pinstripe trick, it worked for me. I'll do my rear bumper (the part around the tailpipes) this weekend, but instead of painting, I'll use vinyl, I ordered the vinyl overlay from Bluebat (vendor on this forum). No problem, I hope my little bit of advice is helpfull. I used the left over spray paint, just sprayed a litle in a cup. The spay paint I used is Rust-Oleum "Universal" The brushes I used are simple hobby brushes from the WallMart arts and crafts section
Here is the link to the vendor for the Vinyl overlays: BLUEBATMOBILE.net - Nissan 370Z Forum I should be able to get these on the car tonight. I will post pics this weekend. And here are the before and after pics and the brushes I used: |

SOrry guys... i havent been subscribing recently on the forum... this month sucks... anyways... i got the line pretty neat spraying thin coats and when i peeled the tape away... i peeled it away from the line instead of jus upward... and JB1... the clear coat turned white cuz it was probably cold or.. was shot to thick... it happened to me the first time when i did my fangs... so yah ull be good with the clear bra though
