Nice and easy. Used this method. <5 min install. Thanks for the great DIY! =]

Heh, already did it. Guides were implying the plugs were at 2 but actually at 11 and 4. Not sure it will let me post pics since I'm new, but next post...

How much pressure does it take? I get the screw driver behind the start button. But can't get it to pop. Anymore pressure I feel will mark the center console.

Good call You can use a flathead screwdriver, but just be sure to wrap it with something to protect the dash. A small one with a terry cloth wrapped over it 2-3 times should work ok in a pinch.

I just used an old expired debit card. The two points were at about 11 and 4 o'clock.
It will begin to move when you do it more than an audible click was my experience. Naturally the other side will sort of tighten but still was able to get the card in there. The harder part was figuring out where the to release the collar but it's obvious if you look at it for a minute. It did ruin the card so don't use one you want to keep lol. |

FYI, if you use those plastic tools, make sure you get nice ones. I bought a set for under $10 on Amazon and they were worthless. They just bent whenever I tried to apply any pressure. I also was worried about scratching the interior with a screwdriver (hence why I bought the plastic tools). I ended up just using a screwdriver, and it worked out just fine. If you're worried, you can just fold a piece of electrical tape around the tip.
