What MCD rating do you guys recommend for these LEDs, I notice the OP has 4000 MCD and there have been other ratings used.

Hey guys, finally found some time to tear my headlights apart... Got the first one apart and i'm painting it now. What adhesive should i use to put it back together? Will i be fine with just reheating the old stuff? Or should i pick something different up. I want to use something that will allow me to get back into the lights if need be. Thanks

Getting ready to tackle this project in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna color match the bezels magma red, but haven't decided if I want the reflectors satin black or match them to the new gunmetal NISMO wheels. What do you guy think?

black, and leave the silver trim piece that runs the length of the reflector! It looks very sharp that way

Just finished this up last night and figured I'd put a picture up to show the final product... awesome instructions by the way Caravanshaka, as well as all of the removal instructions for everything else. Even though its a night-time photo, did a black house and the lights!

Doing this to my car as well here are some tips i learned in case you were too:
Firstly.. to avoid confusion the red wire is your hot ( or positive ) and the black should be the negative... therefore the resistor should go on the red wire Secondly.. these bulbs have a positive and negative side: the side with the longer stem is the positive and it is vital they are all in the same direction Thirdly.. there only needs to be 1 resistor in the beginning of the circuit in between the power source and first set of lights on the chain... if you add a resistor to each whip (row of lights) they will get duller as you go further from the source due to the retarding of power through the resistor... lastly.. LEAVE ENOUGH SLACK in order to get the bulbs into the right place.. i just ripped apart my work as i had leaned these 3 tips the hard way.. i will post pics later for those interested? |

For those of you that used Krylon fusion paint.. How has it been holding up?? Any chipping, peeling, cracking, fading from the heat of the lights?? Im planning on doing this to my headlights and wanted to know the best route to take. Thanks.
