Just did mine the other day. IMO one of the highest-impact, lowest cost mods going...if you DIY. I didn't go with any LED's, mostly due to long-term concerns, but I did highlight the rings in red to contrast with the black lenses, gun metal housings, and carbon fiber accents (including the landing strip. I think it came out even better than I anticipated.
Thanks for the write up on how to open these lights. I wouldn't have done it without you. Now I just have to figure out how to give some rep! Last edited by yellogixxer; 02-23-2012 at 08:39 AM. |

I'm about to tackle my headlights this weekend, have them out at the moment.
Holy crap are the 370Z headlights huge lol. Barely fitting in my oven when I test fit last night. Anyways I'll post pics on my process and finished job

I bought the car with a 3M clearbra on the headlight as well as bumpers. Would it be safe to bake the headlight housing with the 3M clearbar on it? I'm kind of worried it would melt...

I did 250 degrees for 10 minutes. I was afraid to go longer, but probably could have. After 10 mins I did have to still use a heat gun (hair drier) to separate the bottom.
A couple more minutes in the oven would have probably worked, but baking headlights is stressful!!
