Front black hood

Has anybody here plasi-diped their hood or painted it black. Pictures please. I want to see if it would look good. Thanks

if you do it, make sure to buy glossifier... flat black looks way too dull imo

As a temporary protective coating, I can agree. As a mainstay accent, I do not. That's just getting carried away.

I have an extra hood setting around so if one or more would like to help supplement the cost of the dip I would do test with pics and vids so you can get an idea.

Default Try Photoshop

Take a picture of your car, then paint the hood black in the photo. You get to see what it will look like on your exact car.

I'd painters tape it long before I'd use plasti-dip... more of a pain to remove and a chance that I could leave residue/stains.

To be honest I think when it comes to cheap ideas like plasti-dipping a hood its a no brainer. Even if it worked, it would look God Awful. You spent some good money on your car, and you don't own a Honda Civic so spend a few dollars more and get it painted . But just for the overly curious, this guy had to remove it because its too hard to keep a consistent spray over a large area:
