Scroll to the bottom for the socket. Also, here's a post from another thread that gives a step-by-step on modifying and installing a dual filament bulb. Link: http://www.the370z.com/2351903-post14.html I followed that post and it works just as advertised. Actually, I got an extra socket I modified if you're interested. Pics and info are in the post linked below. PM me if you're interested. Modified 7443 socket to fit fog lamp: http://www.the370z.com/2757931-post238.html |
In the process of removing stuff now and this little white clip appeared somehow. Thinking it goes inside the molding near the trunk latch? If so which way does it go back in?

Could someone please post a pic of how that small plastic retainer is supposed to fit inside the rubber moulding? I can't seem to make any sense of it. I know it's probably useless, but it came out and I didn't loose it, so it needs to go back home! :)

Can't you just tap into the license plate lights?
|
Great DIY did mine today with no issues!
|
So does the light turn on when the headlights turn on? If it does, does it go brighter when brakes are applied like the break lights?
|
No its just one brightness usually as bright as the break lights, you can wire it as you want but if you want it to turn with your headlights and go brighter when brakes you will need to modify it ...follow this http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...ake-light.html

I wired mine to be on when the lights are on, it is bright!
My connection goes to the license plate light, used the Z1 extension, very easy this way |

Lucky for me I didn't have any issues getting the nuts off, I can see how it can be a challenge if they spin. You can dremel or use heat to get them off.
There's a picture here in the forum of the notch to drill with the Dremel. If I can find it I'll send it you. |
