Thanks for the vid clip
Would it be possible to post some pics of the LED strip with the lights turned off too? It looks like you managed to squeeze the strip in front of the 'landing strip'. Needless to say, I'm lining myself up for this mod and I'm trying to find out all the info I can before I break my lights open!!

Oh, and just to say... Now I've played with the dual-colour strips I can tell you they work like this:
You have 3 wires to connect - ground, +12v for white light, and +12v for the amber light. You wire the white light wire into your ignition, or switch, whatever - so the DRLs are on. You wire the amber light wire into your turn indicators. This is the clever bit - when your indicators flash the white light automatically turns off. All the time the amber light is on, the white light is off. Once the amber light is off, the white light then comes back on. There is a delay on this so it works OK with your flashers. Sorry if you guys already knew this info!

Phenomenal thread, (just went through every single page and it was worth reading!!) thanks to Nut and Much, VDC Off, and contributing members for taking the time out to do this. I just pulled the trigger on the paint (touchupaint), now thinking about the Halos and LED strip, want to do gun metal housing with dual halos, red shrouds, red demon eyes, and Audi style strip. What do you think. Anyway I have an extra set of headlights I just picked up. This thread has probably saved me close to $600 if not more, for what I am going to do or what I want to do. Once again major thanks!!!
My hats off to a fellow veteran One thing, anybody know where the lenses for the turn signal conversion mod are in stock at, or is TRS only place to find them? Will these work FX-R Lenses (2.5") - RI HID's ? I know the price is a little more but I want to get this done before Turkey Day Last edited by 370zHawaii; 10-30-2014 at 08:04 AM. |

work in progress, test fitting the Sirius LED "Stripe", so far so good. Still waiting on paint, HALOS, Dual Demon Eyes, switches, and lenses to come in. Should be here by the end of the week. I will continue to update as I make progress. Thanks again for the inspiration and motivation to do this.

UPDATE---The Sirius LED Stripes are garbage. the solder joints are very weak, came apart 3 times on all three wires (wires are thin as well I reinforced the solder joints only for it to come apart on the other side the strip a day later.). If you get the Sirius LED strips, handle them with EXTREME caution. I will most likely not be using the Sirius LED "Stripes", however I did find a sequential amber LED strip that I may go with, or old school LED strip. Looking now.

Yes any 2.5 will work. And I agree with the Sirius comment. I had to stop offering thst product. The gtr I installed them on is having that issue as well. I've had to resolder many.

Hey guys, quick question. My TRS halos are burning g out on one side and have gone from white to a yellow color. I'm gonna call them and get them replaced since they're under warranty, but I'm wondering about the Oracle halos. I see that they're like $160 for a pair for what looks like the same ones that TRS sells for $50. Is there any difference that would merit spending $100 extra on the Oracles?

This is what I used on my first 2 370Z's. Not screaming bright, but for the purpose used it was just what i need at the time, and the quality was good and very durable, they are also not as pricey as the Sirius LED's Audi A5 R8 Style LED Strip Lights | LED Headlights | LED Driving Lights my MG 370 |
