Hey all.

HELP!!!!!! (please )

Tried wiring up 2x halo set of 90 mm and 60mm RGB halos from the retrofit source.

They are the prism profile's with the Morimoto bluetooth controller.

Been having issues with the LEDs. First off, they won't change color from amber.

Wiring the LEDs into the turn signal circuit and grounding the black wire to the chassis, i am able to have turn signal capabilities (it flashes when i turn but then I have no bluetooth control via the controller).

unwiring from the circuit board and going through just the bluetooth controller I get on/off functionality from the controller but no color change option. It does strobe though.

Any input on wiring would be very appreciated!

Here is a pic of the lights. They're not very bright at all and some LEDs are not the same color.

I'm planning my install, have already ordered sti-r lenses, halos from diode dynamics. My question: The "driver" box on each side for the halo rings, where did you place them?

I plan to wire:
- full brightness (drl) wire to be connected to ignition fuse
- half brightness wire to be connected to either projector power or parking light
- turn signal wire, to the turn signal power
- ground, tap into any ground wire

Just curious where the driver boxes were mounted. Would they be left inside or outside of the Headlights?

Has anybody tried those Fitted Halos for the 370z from the retrofitsource?

https://www.theretrofitsource.com/20...ted-halos.html

They are $200 but comes with 2 halos, I don't understand what's the difference between buying the 2 90mm profile prism rgb halos from their store too.

I got the 90mm halos from Diode Dynamics. Perfect fit, but it has these micro tabs so you can use beading wire to mount it instead of using glue. However, with the tabs in place, the halos won't fit, so I drilled holes into the shroud on the front, but inside the lip, and shoved the halo tabs there, so now it's mounted tight without any glue or wire.

If you plan to use epoxy to mount, get the diode dynamics one, and cut or shave off the tabs, it'll be a perfect fit! And they're way cheaper, not sure why the ones you linked are $200.

I just did my install this week.

They sell 90mm halos too, for $78 the pair:
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/pr...sal-halos.html

My question was why is that "370z kit" $200, if you can buy, apparently, the same pair of halos for $78 on their site? They won't answer me when I write them, so I thought someone here might know.

I think because they label it was "customized" for the 370z lol

If that's the same one where the owner is a guy named Ceasar, then I've heard only good things. He's been around for years, one of the first headlight retrofit companies I heard about back when reteofits were gaining popularity.

I have finally finished reading the whole thread. Question about the wiring, for anyone still reading this:

I'm planning to add dual halos (Profile Prism RGB, 2 x 90mm and 2 x 70mm) and a set of Demon Eyes (2 x Profile Prism RGB) with the Morimoto Bluetooth driver.
I'm thinking about using this: https://www.amazon.com/KOLACEN-Autom.../dp/B07DCWK1ZV

To tap into the DRLs fuse, but as a separate wire (cause my DRLs are linked to parking lights), and then run a wire to the cabin to add a switch.

My idea is that they will be always ON when the headlights are off, but I'll be able to turn them OFF if I want.

Question is: For the things I'm installing, what fuse should I be using?

have everything test fitted and made adjustments where needed. Have 1 more shroud to sand out and then off to paint. Don't have any pics of the turn signal 70mm halo and lens yet.

Looking good! Regarding the sma projector for the turn signal, I thought people stopped doing this because having a projector there caused it to magnify sunlight heat and cause paint to bubble in front. Or was that due to bad prep work?
