The worst thing that can happen is you will have to drive around in the day.

lets hope it doesn't lead to only driving in the day time LOL..Hey nut n much, I noticed on your first halo DIY you had some TAP issue gloves and a supply issued benchmade. After seeing the tat on your forearm it was confirmed. Semper Fi brother. Nice write up and vids.

Nut_n_Much, Quick question. Are the G35 lenses full concave (bowl shaped inside)? I have a set that I took off some g35 coupe headlights and they are concave on the outside and flat on the back side instead of being concaved as I imagined they would be. just hoping the small LED turn signal will fit once I put them on the 370. Thanks.

The g35 lens is flat on the back & concave on the front. As long as the LED your using is the same size or shorter that the amber stock turn signal bulb you will be good. If the LED replacement bulb your using is a little longer than the stock bulb it should be okay. chtr11 had a set when we did his but they were white instead of amber so we didn't us them..

When we had the light pulled apart you can see the chrome turn signal reflector clearly with the amber bulb in it. The bulb doesn't stick out past the edge of it. Once you convert the shroud to a G35 lens you have 1/8 to 1/4 inch gap between the chrome reflector and the lens. Not much room to work with. I'll take a picture of the set I have from a customer. Give me a sec i'll be back.

Edit to add pics:

thanks for clearing this out nut n much. Im just waiting on the parts to arrive from the retrofit source. If it weren't for this write up I would've been stuck with nothing but painted housing on my Z

Bumper is off..

Last word(s) of advice: Be careful prying the housings off as they chip near the points very easily.

Yaaaaaaaaaa...... :happydance: I PM you..

Thanks for the advice, I managed to remove the driver side head light. The passenger is being a little beotch due to the intercooler piping. It's hard to get that clip holding the wires to the headlight bracket. I will take a breather and come back

Looks fun Lou!

Car looks mean with no front bumper...good time to clean those filters too.

dmhenderson 05-28-2013 11:08 PM

It has been 4 hrs since last contact. I am now concerned.

Nice vids nut! Very helpful.

Well, family came home so I will be back at tomorrow. My Z is not a daily so I will take my time. Don't expect my lights to be done anytime soon ;)
