If you have homelink rear view minor, you can tap a power from it. I made my own invisicord and connected via the homelink connector.

If you have the escort dont do that, spend a bit of money and get their kit, is designed to be connected to the ligther and with everthing you need and enough cable. Do it right? I purchased mine and it was very simple to do, plus it come with the Mute button separate that you can put anywhere

Man is worth the money. Plenty of cable, like I said with the mute that you can put anywhere on your car depending how you run the cables and the connection is one ground and one positive with a clamp that you just pinch the lighter positive. So you don't even have to peel cables or anything.

I will say the most difficult part is running the cable behind the tight areas of the car. So figure it out first where you want the mute button. Good luck. Let me know how it goes.

This. I took me 2 minutes to figure out which cable goes where and I was just being too careful. Hey, it's a $500 radar!
If you put the radar below the homelink mirror, the mute button is located right below the mirror. I don't see why you need to have another mute button anywhere else?

If you need this cable, let me know. I have extra. The Red wire is + and
the Green wire is ground.

Having another mute button more accessible that lifting my arm trying to press the button for me is safer. My mute button is right beside me plus at night it has a blinking light that when my music is to loud and i cant hear the radar I can see something is going on.

Some Guy put it where the heater seat buttons suppose to go unless you have the touring edition. I personally put it on the side of the dash beside the start button. So when it beeps is just right there for me.

I followed radar roys "how to hardwire a radar detector video" using an add a circuit to the lower left fuse box on the driver side. I have everything set up but I just don't know which fuse to tap. Anyone know which fuse I should use?
