Two month bump since I'm going to make Ms. Pint do this mod today. She doesn't know it yet, but we're meeting at Lowe's for a cruise and will be going inside first

I'll make sure we get some pictures. Mr. Kenchan does not realize not everyone is as smart, able, and confident as him :icon17:

I just need to go to Breed's. They have anything I could possibly need in a store about 1/10th the size of the Lowe's we went to. It's amazing

Might as well help me install hood struts while you're at it. :p

We still don't know much about Kenchan but after this DIY we know you are short.:roflpuke2:

kenchan 12-09-2012 07:30 PM

Unlike most asians my torso is very short vs my limbs. I sat in my buddy's Cayman the other day...I'm taller than him but his seating position was like damn... I can't see shitt. :icon17:

Did something similar for the passenger seat so my tiny gf can see out the front window lol.

Very confident in its design and strength.

Thanks for the post. I just did this... took about 15 - 20 min. I am 5'-8" so not the tallest mofo but I do like sitting up high. I went online to the bolt depot and bought my stuff, worked perfect thanks the specs kenchan had posted.

I bought two zinc plated class 10.9 steel 10mm x 1.25mm x 50mm bolts @ .89 cents each

https://www.boltdepot.com/Metric_hex..._x_1.25mm.aspx

And two zinc plated steel spacers 3/8" x 1" (3/4" O.D.) @ $2.21

https://www.boltdepot.com/Spacers_Zi...steel_3_8.aspx

I did not buy any washers because I thought I could re-use the existing ones but nissan used some kind of black magic spell and they are forever stuck on the stock bolts.... so I suggest buying some washers while your at it. The bolts from bolt depot are large enough they will not slide through your seat bracket hole but a washer would just give the hole thing more strength.

I was on the fence about doing this but the bolt products you suggested swayed me into pursuing this. I ordered from the same place, Bolt Depot.

On another note I do believe we just brought up a 2 year old DIY. :icon17:
