Want shine like this? Meguiar's Gold Wax how to.

Since when does a clear coat have "essential oils"?

They don't. People use products with oils in them to make the paint glow, temporarily I might add. Handful of washes later, bye bye glowing car, hello dull paint. A properly prepped and polished car looks awesome even without a wax or sealant on it. It is always recommended to seal or wax after polishing for a sacrificial barrier against the elements. I also don't like glazes either. All they do is mask or fill in the marring in your paint temporarily. On old, thin paint it serves a purpose, but no where else imo. Most of your high volume detail shops will use glazes as well, to hide their s$@!y work.

Someone mentioned "Autopia" for a source of info on detailing your car. This is one of the best online sources there is. Spend some time there and you will be rewarded with invaluable detailing info. In fact, if you don't plan on having your car looked after by a pro, please spend some time on Autopia.com and your car will thank you. I see a lot of advise being served up on this site by weekend detailers. Please be carful taking their advise, as this could lead to damaging your cars paint.
