Mine is a 2014 Touring/Sport and I had to install mine...

Big thanks for the DIY. It took me about 1 1/2 hour for the install, the hardest part for me was getting the dang clip out lol.

Also, this may be a dumb question but the lights stay on constantly (without ignition turned to on or acc) is this normal or is it supposed to only turn on when you open the door?

cant be normal to have it on all the time!

They should operate the same as the dome lights. Push the door plunger switch in with your hand and see if they go out with the dome light. Maybe you wired them wrong?

Hi - does anyone have a picture or diagram of the wires / wire location in the harness / connector from the BCM used for the illuminated kick panels? I would like to know what wires (color and or PIN number with a diagram of the connector) are used for the illuminated kicks from the BCM for some similar DIY lighting.

Or as jburke26 previously asked:

Anyone have a pinout diagram of the T-harness that is included with the illuminated kick plates?

Thanks

Thank you for this thread and the YT link. I followed the instructions without realizing I didn't read the official Nissan instructions. I was so caught up into it I forgot to remove the adhesive tape (and didn't clean with alcohol but i guess won't matter if i didn't tape it)

The dog ate one of the "push nut" for the console :icon14:

Does anyone knows where to get the wiring harness? I got the plates but not the wiring necessary for the installation.

Sent you a PM last Friday. The wiring harness can be yours for $35 plus shipping. Let me know if you're interested.

LED blinking

I have the illuminated kick plates in my 2010 Nissan 370Z Touring Roadster. The LEDs blink and tend to not illuminate, my guess is the LED is going. Can I replace just that part or do I have to buy all new illuminated kick plates? Also the passenger side has a dent in it from someones heels. Is that easy to correct?

You can open them up and replace bulb.
I replaced mine with red bulbs.Pic of carbon fiber ones I made.
They do get dented from seat belts getting caught.
Depends how bad dent is.You may be able to massage out.Takes time and patience.

Nice. Thank you. Know if any instructions specifically for opening and changing bulb (I believe the ones here are for installing new ones)
