The lighted kick plates are great. Mine only took about 40 minutes to
install. Would recommend them to anybody with half a brain.

install took me a longer haha like one and a half considering i was being super careful and i had a hard time unplugging the harness... none the less its a great and easy mod...

Took me and a friend this weekend just under an hour, could have done it faster but we started with zero tools ready and got them as we needed them.

Thanks for the DIY, didn't even need a screwdriver! Just needed scissors for cutting the ends of the zip-ties.

However, I realized at the end when throwing away all the wrappers that the instructions are included with the kick plates!! Oh well...

Thanks again...

There are instructions, and my friend & I used both this and the instructions to "verify" things but in the end it is pretty straight forward.

Not sure, from what I recall, there were a few open connection spots. If you're not sure, open it up and investigate :)

Guys, I am installing my kickplates right now. But, I've hit a problem and was hoping one of you guys that installed your own illuminated could help me out. The process was going perfect until I hit the T-Harness Plug. I'm having some difficulty pulling it out and I've even tried using a small screwdriver as recommended. Any tips or advice so I could get this part out of the way and finish?

it's a pain I know. You have to wiggle it a lot. See if you can hit the clip with the screwdriver and wiggle with the other hand. I specifically remember having to lay upsidedown in the passenger seat with my feet in the hatch:tup::tup:

Thanks erjives, my buddy and I were already doing that and thank god he eventually got it out. It was a PITA  but, I was relieved when it was out and we could finally finish it up :excited:. Thanks for the DYI .. I took pictures with my friends camera so I'll post up another DYI for people to use. How do I give you a rep point for hooking us up with this thread?
