Custom start button?
Is there any way to make a custom start button? Not really digging the gtr one, I want something like an all black button with a white Z in the middle that's led backlit. I haven't looked at how the start bottoms are put together, is that even possible?

seems simple enough if you remove the power on and seal the back allowing the light to shine in the shape of the Z...I would take the push button to a custom audio/electronic shop see if they can do anything with it!

I may buy another start button and see what I can do with it, I really like this idea.

Honestly I'm really surprised nobody has come up with the design yet, it's like the only part of the car that nobody has touched yet (except for switching it out to the GTR one).
White ones? I haven't seen any of those, where can I find them? EDIT: I'm an idiot. You meant our stock ones. Sent from my iPizzle using magic and new fangled science stuff. |
I've been wanting to figure out a way to just flick a metal switch like in a true race car.

the switches on race cars are for battery, ignition and fuel pump usually. To start the car you use a push button.

Just be like everyone else and plasti-dip it.

I actually thought of that, I just wasn't sure if it would hold up well. My other problem is figuring out the best way to get the "start/stop" words off the button. On the extra one I bought to play around with I used my air compressor and a finer grit dreamed bit to grind it off. It made it almost completely smooth, but it's not factory smooth. I wonder if mineral spirits would work? Some kind of paint thinner to melt the words off? What do you guys recommend?
